Day 1 – Arrival in Cairo

Morning: Arrival in Cairo

• Upon landing at Cairo International Airport, a representative will greet you and assist with customs and baggage.
• You will then be transferred to your hotel in a private, air-conditioned vehicle for check-in.

• Overnight stay in Cairo.

 

Day 2 – Day Tour to Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Valley Temple, Egyptian Museum & Khan El Khalili

Morning: Giza Plateau

• After breakfast, visit the Giza Plateau, home to the world-renowned Great Pyramids of Giza.
• Start with the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the largest pyramid, and then explore the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure. Your guide will delve into the historical and architectural significance of these pyramids, built as royal tombs over 4,500 years ago.
• Next, visit the Valley Temple, where mummification rituals took place. The impressive stonework and statues provide insight into ancient Egyptian religious practices.
• Proceed to the Sphinx, the iconic limestone statue with the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh, thought to represent King Khafre.

Midday: Egyptian Museum

• Afterward, explore the Egyptian Museum, home to over 120,000 artifacts, including the treasures of King Tutankhamun. Admire the golden mask, royal jewelry, and other objects that reveal ancient Egyptian culture.

Afternoon: Khan El Khalili Bazaar

• Lunch break at a local restaurant before heading to Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s most famous bazaar. The market is known for its vibrant atmosphere, where you can shop for souvenirs, jewelry, spices, and handmade crafts.

Evening: Return to Hotel

• Enjoy a relaxed evening with dinner and an overnight stay in Cairo.

 

Day 3 – Cairo to Aswan, Temple of Philae, Aswan High Dam & Unfinished Obelisk

Morning: Travel to Aswan

• After breakfast, take a domestic flight from Cairo to Aswan. Upon arrival, your tour begins with a visit to the Aswan High Dam, an engineering marvel that controls the Nile’s flooding and generates electricity for Egypt.

Midday: Temple of Philae

• Next, take a boat ride to the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis. This temple, relocated to Agilkia Island due to the dam’s construction, is adorned with intricate carvings and stunning reliefs.

Afternoon: Unfinished Obelisk

• Explore the Unfinished Obelisk, located in an ancient quarry. This massive structure, had it been completed, would have been the largest obelisk in Egypt. It offers fascinating insights into ancient stone-cutting techniques.

• After your tour, check in at your hotel in Aswan, and enjoy a leisurely evening. You can explore the city’s souks or relax by the Nile River.
• Dinner and overnight in Aswan.

 

Day 4 – Day Tour to Abu Simbel

Morning: Abu Simbel Temples

• Early morning departure for a guided tour to the Abu Simbel Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The temples were carved into cliffs during the reign of Ramses II and are dedicated to the gods Amun, Ra, and Ptah, as well as Ramses II himself. The most remarkable aspect is how the temples were relocated in the 1960s to avoid flooding from the Aswan Dam.

Afternoon: Return to Aswan

• Overnight stay in Aswan.

 

Day 5 – Day Tour to Temple of Kom Ombo, Crocodile Museum & Edfu: The Temple of Horus

Morning: Kom Ombo Temple

• After breakfast, travel to Kom Ombo, a unique double temple dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon-headed god. This temple is set right by the Nile, with fascinating inscriptions and carvings.
• Visit the Crocodile Museum, which houses mummified crocodiles and artifacts related to the worship of Sobek.

Afternoon: Edfu: The Temple of Horus

• Continue to Edfu and explore the Temple of Horus, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. It is dedicated to Horus, the sky god, and offers impressive scenes depicting the battle between Horus and Set.

Evening: Luxor Arrival

• In the evening, travel to Luxor and check into your hotel.
• overnight in Luxor.

 

Day 6 – Day Tour to Karnak Temple & Luxor Temple

Morning: Karnak Temple

• After breakfast, visit the Karnak Temple Complex, one of the largest religious complexes ever built. Its massive columns, towering obelisks, and detailed carvings tell the story of Egypt’s power and devotion to the gods. Afternoon: Luxor Temple

• After lunch, head to the Luxor Temple, situated along the Nile River. This temple was built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II, with stunning statues, carvings, and a grand avenue of sphinxes that once connected it to Karnak.

Evening: Free Time

• Return to your hotel in Luxor.
• Overnight in Luxor.

 

Day 7 – Day Tour to Valley of the Kings , Colossi of Memnon , Temple of Queen Hatshepsut & Return to Cairo

Morning: Valley of the Kings

• After breakfast, visit the Valley of the Kings, where the tombs of Egypt’s pharaohs are hidden in the Theban hills. Explore the richly decorated tombs, including that of Tutankhamun, and learn about ancient burial rituals and the afterlife beliefs of the Egyptians.

Midday: Temple of Queen Hatshepsut & Colossi of Memnon

• Next, visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, an architectural marvel carved into the cliffs. Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s few female pharaohs, built this temple to honor her reign and her connection to the god Amun.
• Stop by the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues that stand as remnants of an ancient mortuary temple.

Afternoon: Return to Cairo

• After your tour in Luxor, you’ll fly back to Cairo in the afternoon. Upon arrival, check into your hotel for your final night.
• overnight stay in Cairo.

 

Day 8 – Final Departure

Morning: Departure Preparations

• After breakfast, check out from your hotel. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing before being transferred to Cairo International Airport for your departure.
• End of the 8-day Egypt adventure, leaving with memories of ancient temples, pyramids, and Egypt’s rich history.
