Day 1 – Arrival in Cairo

Morning: Arrival in Cairo

• Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our representative who will assist with customs and baggage collection.
• You will then be transferred to your hotel in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. After check-in, take some time to rest and freshen up.

 

Day 2 – Day Tour to Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Valley Temple, Egyptian Museum, and Khan El Khalili

Morning: Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, and Valley Temple

• After breakfast, begin your day at the Giza Plateau, home to the world-renowned Pyramids of Giza. Marvel at the Great Pyramid of Khufu, followed by the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure. Your guide will offer fascinating insights into the construction, purpose, and cultural significance of these ancient tombs.
• Visit the nearby Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple, where mummification rites were performed for the pharaohs.

Midday: Lunch Break

• Enjoy a traditional Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant before heading into the heart of the city.

Afternoon: Egyptian Museum and Khan El Khalili

• Head to the Egyptian Museum, home to over 120,000 artifacts. Admire the treasures of King Tutankhamun, including his golden mask, sarcophagi, and royal jewelry.

Day 3 – Day Tour to Cairo – Aswan, Temple of Philae, Aswan High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk

Morning: Flight to Aswan

• After an early breakfast, take a short domestic flight from Cairo to Aswan. Upon arrival, you’ll begin exploring the southern treasures of Egypt.

Morning: Temple of Philae and Aswan High Dam

• Visit the stunning Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis. The temple is located on Agilkia Island, and you’ll enjoy a scenic boat ride to reach it.
• Proceed to the Aswan High Dam, an engineering marvel that controls the Nile’s annual floods and provides hydroelectric power. Learn about its significance to modern Egypt.

Midday: Unfinished Obelisk

• Visit the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest known ancient obelisk, lying in its original quarry. It offers a glimpse into the techniques of ancient stone carving. If completed, it would have been the largest obelisk ever erected.

Evening: Aswan City Exploration

• Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant along the Nile or at your hotel. Overnight in Aswan.

 

Day 4 – Day Tour to Abu Simbel Temples, Return to Aswan

Morning: Excursion to Abu Simbel

• Take an early morning drive to the Abu Simbel Temples, located near the Sudanese border. These massive rock temples were constructed by Ramses II and are dedicated to him and his queen, Nefertari. The temples are renowned for their colossal statues and the intricate carvings inside.
• Your guide will explain how these temples were relocated to save them from flooding due to the construction of the Aswan High Dam.

Afternoon: Return to Aswan

• After exploring the magnificent site, return to Aswan for a relaxing afternoon. You may stroll along the Nile or enjoy a felucca (traditional sailboat) ride.

Evening: Return to Hotel

• Overnight in Aswan, preparing for the journey to Kom Ombo.

 

Day 5 – Day Tour to Temple of Kom Ombo, Crocodile Museum, Edfu: The Temple of Horus, Luxor

Morning: Temple of Kom Ombo and Crocodile Museum

• After breakfast, drive to Kom Ombo to visit the unique Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to both the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon-headed god Horus. This unusual double temple features two identical sections dedicated to the gods.
• Next, visit the Crocodile Museum, showcasing mummified crocodiles that were revered in ancient Egypt.

Midday: Edfu – The Temple of Horus
