Temple of the Oracle of Amun:
After hotel check in and breakfast, the first stop will be at the Temple of Amun. The Temple of the Oracle of Amun, also known as the Oracle Temple or the Temple of Amun-Ra, was a significant religious site located in the ancient Egyptian city of Siwa Oasis. Dedicated to the god Amun, one of the most important deities in the Egyptian pantheon, this temple held great religious and cultural significance throughout the ancient world.
Lake Siwa:
Bring your swimwear! Next, your adventure will take you to hot springs. In recent years, only after the mining of salt did Siwa become much more known for its extra salty bodies of water. Because Siwa is considered to be far and relatively inaccessible as it lies 560km away from the capital, it remains relatively untouched.
What makes the Siwan lakes particularly special is their hyper-salinity. Siwa has low annual rainfall but very high evaporation rates making its lakes exceptional with hyper-salinity, almost containing 95 percent salt. Salt lakes generally are known to have incredible therapeutic benefits, and Siwa’s lakes offer just that.
Siwa has become an extremely popular destination for medical tourism, both locally and internationally. In 2017, Siwa was recognized as a global medical and environmental tourism destination. Known to be particularly beneficial for those suffering from skin diseases, ailments of the eyes and sinuses, as well as rheumatism.

Cleopatra’s Pool – Spring of Juba, Siwa Egypt:
With a constant temperature of 29 degrees Celsius, the Ain Juba or Cleopatra’s Spring is a popular tourist attraction near Siwa Oasis. While some say Cleopatra swam in the pool during her visit to the oasis, many other historians dispute about this legend and insist that the spring has nothing to do with the famous Queen of Egypt. The spring is nonetheless ancient and well-known in times of antiquity. Referred to as the Fountain of the Sun by Herodotus, legend has it that Alexander the Great followed a group of birds in the desert and reached the famous spring during his conquest of Persia. From history to the present, spring remains a reliable treat of a cool refreshing dip for tired travelers.

According to the official site of the Ministry of Antiquities in Egypt, burials continued in this cemetery until the late Roman era.
Shali Fortress, Siwa 51714 Egypt:
In the center of Siwa, the ruins of the fortress of Shali of the 13th Century are imposed. Constructed from a material known as a kerchief, “(a mixture of salt rocks from the salt lakes of the region and clay). was built to protect the inhabitants from Bedouin attacks. Interestingly, with just one heavy rain in the year 1936, Shali began to crumble.
On the way up there is the entrance of a mosque that was the only original building of the renovated Shali. Along the way there are also handicraft and fabric shops, all very original and different from those found in the rest of Egypt, it is worth visiting for those who want to bring souvenirs of this unique region.
Great Sand Sea, Siwa Egypt:
The Great Sand Sea is the second largest continuous sand-covered area on earth (after the Grand Erg Oriental, in Algeria). It is a huge mass of sand that originated in the chain of wind-excavated depressions paralleling the Mediterranean coast from Jalo (Libya) to the Qattara depression (Egypt). It is called the Great Sand Sea in Egypt, but the Calanascio Sand Sea to the west in Libya is a continuous part of it, as is the Rebiana Sand Sea, which is the southern extension of the Calanascio Sand Sea lying to the West of Kufra. The western edge of the Rebiana Sand Sea may be considered the edge of the Libyan Desert.
